External Training Plan 2008
• Identify the surgeon and theatre staff to be trained with our products.
• Assess their prior knowledge and experience with the HI products.
• Organise in house training
• A meeting will be arranged to discuss the principles of each of the systems and will include ‘hands on’ workshops.
• Provide on-site support once surgery has begun, this would include nursing staff training, CSSD staff training, supply chain management. We would ensure that the staff are made aware of the personnel at HI who can help them with any queries or needs that arise.
• Our local representative will be on hand on days of surgery to support the surgeon. He or she will be able to evaluate any training need and organise this accordingly.
• We will continually monitor the training requirements of both the department and individuals alike, and will as required, formulate new training programmes for existing staff and for new arrivals.
